Donate a Bench

The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory committee, along with the Amherst Recreation Department, is raising money toward the installation of several benches throughout town.We are accepting memorial donations as well as ordinary donations that contribute to the overall cost.

Our Plan

Benches can be located along the Amherst Street Sidepath, other multimodal paths throughout town, Joshua's Park, PMEC, Buck Meadow,  Birch Park, playing fields, and Baboosic Lake Beach.

We will be installing 6' benches that are made of recycled milk jugs and have a 50 year warranty.

Each bench costs approximately $1500 to purchase and install.
