Travis Warren, President

Travis grew up in Amherst in the 1980s and returned in the late 90s with his wife René, where they spent the next 25 years raising their four children. In 1998, he co-founded WhippleHill, a local web software company, with his brother and several other Amherst residents. Over the years, Travis was active in the community as a volunteer and coach with Amherst Patriots Football and the Amherst Lacrosse Club. He later spent time on the Amherst Recreation Commission.

Those experiences helped inspire the Amherst Community Foundation. Travis saw plenty of people who wanted to give back and make good things happen in town, but too often became discouraged by the traditional process for getting things done. He helped establish ACF to fill that gap—working behind the scenes, bringing people and organizations together, and helping turn good ideas into action.

JEFF THOMPSON, VICE PRESIDENT

Jeff has lived in Amherst village since 2015 with his wife Sarah and their two children. He has been an active volunteer through the Amherst Recreation Department as well as local skiing and biking organizations. Professionally, Jeff serves as a Program Director at Draper Laboratory, a nonprofit engineering research organization based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He brings a strong commitment to community engagement and civic involvement.

RICK KATZENBERG, SECRETARY

Rick lived in Amherst from 1982 to 2025, where he and his wife Susan raised their two children. Over more than four decades in town, he was deeply involved in the community, serving on the Souhegan High School Board, as Town Treasurer and as coach of the Souhegan girls tennis team.

Much of Rick’s community work has focused on young people. He founded and mentored the Teen Job Bank, worked with the Milford Court’s youth diversion program, and was recognized by the New Hampshire School Administrators Association as its 2013 Champion for Children. In 2025, Rick was named Amherst Citizen of the Year in recognition of his many years of service to the community.

DAN VEILLEUX, TREASURER

Dan is a resident of Amherst and a three-term member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Hillsborough District 34. He currently serves as Ranking Member of the House Transportation Committee. Dan holds a Master of Public Administration and has professional experience in public sector finance, economic development, and private sector accounting and operations management. He is committed to supporting initiatives that strengthen the Amherst community and enhance quality of life for its residents.

TRENT BLALOCK, DIRECTOR  

Trent has been a resident of Amherst since 2014, where he lives with his wife and their two children. He has been actively involved in the community, serving on the boards of the Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce, United Way of Greater Nashua, and currently SHARE Outreach. Professionally, Trent is a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones, bringing experience in strategic planning and community engagement. He is committed to supporting initiatives that strengthen Amherst and enhance quality of life for its residents.
